A "Symphony Safari" Featuring Tulsa Symphony Orchestra
Nov 14, 2009 - Nov 14, 2009 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM THE SWINGIN’ SOUNDS OF THE JUNGLE The sounds of the Tulsa Zoo are unmistakable; the roar of the lion, the hoot of the chimpanzee, the toot of a . . . trumpet? You heard correctly; in fact, you’ll be hearing a symphony of sounds as the Tulsa Zoo hosts a very special performance by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, Saturday, November 14th beginning at 2:00 pm. The Tulsa Symphony Orchestra will be bringing their melodious sounds to the Tulsa Zoo’s new indoor venue, the Chapman Event Lodge. As a special treat after the performance, you’ll get the chance to meet the musicians and learn about the different instruments with a unique “petting zoo” experience. The Tulsa Zoo and the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra are also partnering to offer Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Oklahoma a very special treat as well. For the day of November 14th, any child or “Little” will get free admission with paid adult admission! If you are interested in becoming a “Big”, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Oklahoma will be on hand with information on how you can be part of their amazing organization. So bring the whole family and enjoy the swingin’ sounds of the jungle and amazing performances by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
